Sick caught me out again

A mild cold accompanied by fever last night has taken words from me, but I’m not going to beat myself up about that because there’s nothing to do. If I don’t get better, no words.

I have fever armor. When I’m in bed with appropriate levels of blankets and still can’t stop shivering, it’s fever time. I’ll put on jeans, fuzzy socks, unnecessary underwear, t-shirt, a specific long-sleeved shirt, and add a blanket. Finally, warm, the fever can battle it out with the meds and I can step towards getting better.

I’m feeling better today, but I’ve also NyQuil and DayQuil’d my way through the last 24. We’ll see how tomorrow goes. Hopefully not as drowsy.

We have our car back, too. I’m excited about this because now I get to drive my “fill me up with gas and I refuse to start”-mobile again. There’s a very specific way to get the car restarted after fueling up, and I’m becoming a master at it.

Still, we’ll need to get that fixed.

This rambly blog post was brought to you by acetaminophen, ibuprofen, and pseudoephedrine, none of which I could have spelled correctly without spellchecker and Grammarly.

Oh, yeah. Grammarly keeps sending me contact forms trying to get me to post a link to their reviews on their website. Grammarly, I love you, and it’s cute the way you think people are influenced by my blog. Trust me, if folks are impressed enough by my newfound grammar skills, they know how to Google you. Also, don’t be afraid to comment directly on the post. I can tell if you’re a human working for a product I use or a spammer, and I won’t hate you if you’re the former.

Probably.
